About The Creator

Portrait of the creator of Mentalyctis — author exploring mental health, self-development, and personal growth.

Every revolution begins with a question.

Mine was simple: “Why does getting better have to be so hard?”

       And that question changed everything.

The Breaking Point

There was a version of me that believed asking for help meant weakness. A version that thought mental struggle was something to hide, manage alone, or simply “power through.” That version of me was drowning while wearing a smile.

The turning point wasn’t dramatic. It was quiet—a moment of exhaustion where I finally admitted: I can’t do this alone. And maybe I was never supposed to.

The Discovery

What followed was a journey through therapy, research, trial and error, and countless small victories that felt massive at the time. I discovered that healing isn’t linear. Growth isn’t neat. And mental wellness isn’t a destination—it’s a practice.

But here’s what frustrated me: Why was this knowledge so hard to find? Why were the most helpful strategies buried in academic papers or locked behind expensive sessions? Why did I have to fight so hard to access tools that should be fundamental human resources?

The Birth of Mentalyctis

The name combines “mental” and “analysis” with a touch of “lyctis” (from Greek, suggesting illumination). Because that’s what this platform is: shining light on mental wellness in ways that actually help.

I created Mentalyctis for the version of me that felt lost and alone. For anyone who’s ever thought, “Everyone else has it together except me.” For the people who need support but don’t know where to start.

What Makes This Different

This isn’t a blog where someone who’s “figured it all out” lectures from a pedestal. This is a community resource built on:

  • Lived Experience – I’ve been in the darkness. I respect its weight.
  • Rigorous Research – I spend hours synthesizing psychological research, clinical studies, and evidence-based practices into accessible content. Personal experience + scientific evidence = reliable guidance.
  • Practical Application – Theory is useless without action steps you can implement today.
  • Cultural Sensitivity – Mental health isn’t one-size-fits-all. Your context matters.
  • Ongoing Evolution – I’m still learning. This platform grows as I grow.

My Commitment to You

When you read a Mentalyctis article, you’re getting:

  • Hours of research distilled into digestible insights
  • Evidence-based strategies I’ve personally explored or extensively validated
  • Honest perspectives about what works, what doesn’t, and what depends
  • Zero judgment about where you are in your journey
  • Recognition that your mental wellness is complex, valid, and worth fighting for

My role:
I translate complex research into practical guidance. I’m the bridge between clinical knowledge and everyday accessibility—not a therapist, but a dedicated researcher committed to making knowledge available.

The Bigger Picture

Mentalyctis isn’t just my project—it’s a movement toward normalizing mental health conversations. Every person who finds help here, who learns a new coping strategy, who feels less alone… that’s a ripple of change in how we collectively approach psychological wellness.
