Every revolution begins with a question.
Mine was simple: “Why does getting better have to be so hard?”
And that question changed everything.
The turning point wasn’t dramatic. It was quiet—a moment of exhaustion where I finally admitted: I can’t do this alone. And maybe I was never supposed to.
What followed was a journey through therapy, research, trial and error, and countless small victories that felt massive at the time. I discovered that healing isn’t linear. Growth isn’t neat. And mental wellness isn’t a destination—it’s a practice.
But here’s what frustrated me: Why was this knowledge so hard to find? Why were the most helpful strategies buried in academic papers or locked behind expensive sessions? Why did I have to fight so hard to access tools that should be fundamental human resources?
The name combines “mental” and “analysis” with a touch of “lyctis” (from Greek, suggesting illumination). Because that’s what this platform is: shining light on mental wellness in ways that actually help.
I created Mentalyctis for the version of me that felt lost and alone. For anyone who’s ever thought, “Everyone else has it together except me.” For the people who need support but don’t know where to start.
This isn’t a blog where someone who’s “figured it all out” lectures from a pedestal. This is a community resource built on:
When you read a Mentalyctis article, you’re getting:
My role: I translate complex research into practical guidance. I’m the bridge between clinical knowledge and everyday accessibility—not a therapist, but a dedicated researcher committed to making knowledge available.
Mentalyctis isn’t just my project—it’s a movement toward normalizing mental health conversations. Every person who finds help here, who learns a new coping strategy, who feels less alone… that’s a ripple of change in how we collectively approach psychological wellness.
Whether you’re:
You belong here. Your story matters. Your healing matters.

Thank you for trusting me with this part of your journey. Thank you for choosing to prioritize your mental health. Thank you for being here.
The fact that you’re reading this means you’re already taking a powerful step.
